Composed as a submission for the Wilborough Symphony Orchestra Young Composer Award, Birth of a Star was my first full orchestral piece.

I used this as an opportunity to explore the timbres of such a large group of instruments, as I passed melodies harmonies and rhythms through the instrumental parts.
